Lender Independent Engineer (LIE)

The Lender's Independent Engineer's report comprises of the technical due-diligence done by an Engineering consultant for the lender. It evaluates the technical implementation of the conceived project vis — a — vis project report submitted to the Lender. The objective is to avoid cost over runs & delays in the project, caused due to various uncalled — for circumstances. All these tacos badly disturb the lending & put lenders money at risk. Strict Implementation of PERT / CPM drawn down schedules vis — a — vis statutory compliances within financial norms is the primary objective of appointing LIE on a project.

GATS has been engaged by institutional lenders to prepare LIE reports for various projects across the north part of country. Our consultants start by vetting contracts for all works, this includes reviewing performance guarantees and comparing them to industry standard contract prices. GATS also reviews the necessary approvals for the construction / implementation adequacy of clearances and any consent, license, approval, registration, permit or other authorization of any nature which is required to be granted by any statutory or regulatory authority or any third party for the construction, implementation, operation and maintenance of the project.

A sincere LIE also acts as a "DISPUTE BOARD" concept of WORLD BANK and mitigates the future litigation.
